The Livingston Players – About Us

We currently have a membership of over 50, ranging in age from 16 to 70+ ; and also a thriving youth section.

The Livingston Players is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) and is fully affiliated to The National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) and The Scottish Community Drama Association (SCDA), and over the years, we have won numerous drama awards for our quality of acting, production and staging.  We continually strive for improvement in all areas.

We generally perform three productions each year. One is a musical usually performed in the last week in May, a youth production in September and a play produced in January.  We perform our main productions in the Brian Duguid Auditorium at Howden Park Centre.

Our rehearsals usually take place on Monday and Thursday evenings starting at 7.30pm usually at Carmondean Community Centre, Deans, Livingston, and sometimes on a Sunday afternoon.

In addition, we perform one act plays from time to time.

We also have a “Showstoppers” group who can present an evening of entertainment featuring song and dance from a wide variety of musical theatre on request by other charities or community groups.
