About Us

Who are we?

The Livingston Players is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) and is fully affiliated to The National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) and The Scottish Community Drama Association (SCDA), and over the years, we have won numerous drama awards for our quality of acting, production and staging.  We continually strive for improvement in all areas.

What is our purpose?

Our purpose is to foster and encourage interest in all facets of the Theatre and Dramatic Art through the study, teaching, and public performance of plays and musicals.

What do we do?

We generally perform three productions each year.

Our main productions are performed in the Brian Duguid Auditorium at Howden Park Centre.

In addition to this, we perform One Acts from time to time.

We also have our "Showstoppers" productions where we present an evening of entertainment to fundraise for our future shows, and also on request by other charities and community groups.

We currently have a membership of over 50, ranging in age from 9 to 70+.

Where and when do we rehearse?

Our rehearsals typically take place Monday and Thursday evenings from 7pm at Carmondean Community Centre, Deans, Livingston. We also rehearse Sunday afternoons, typically instead of Mondays, depending on the production.

If you have any other queries, please don't hesistate to contact us.
